Heritage Club
A rhythm and blues concert is scheduled for 9 pm May 31. Advance price tickets are $17 for members and $20 for guests. Tickets will be sold at the Horizons cashier's office from 10 am- 3:30 pm. Mondays through Fridays. Call 926-2670.
Youth Center
Registration deadline for the Shoot for the Stars basketball camp is June 2. The camp is scheduled from 9 am to 1 pm. June 9-13 at Robins Air Force Base Youth Center Gym. Cost is $65 per youth. The camp is led by former Harlem Globetrotter Micheal Douglas. Youth meet and spend the week with special guest professional athletes and former members of the Globetrotters and former NBA players. The camp is geared toward teacher fundamentals of basketball for ages 7 to 14 years old. A late registration fee is $10. Call Ron Hayes at 926-2110.
Information, Tickets and Travel
Tickets are available for the Macon National Drag-way's Racing At It's Best Part II, scheduled for Saturday, May 24 and Sunday, May 25. Qualifying begins at 9 am Saturday and finals begin at 9 am on Sunday. Prepaid one-day passes cost $19 and are good for either days. Two-day passes cost $32.50 and are good for both days. Children 12 years and younger are admitted free of charge with a paying adult. These race events will be held at the Twiggs/Macon National Drag-way located at 460 Woodland Road in Jeffersonville. Services Marketing
Club Scholarship Submissions are due July 1. Robins Heritage Club and Horizons members and their families may apply for the Air Forces Services club membership scholarship program. Air Force-wide, 25 $1,000 scholarships will be awarded.Nominees must provide an essay of no more than 500 words. The essay title for this year is "The Most Important Person in My Life." Outdoor Recreation
A kayaking trip to Appalachian Outfitters in Dahlonega is scheduled for June 12. Meet at Outdoor Recreation at 8 am for departure at 8:30 am. Cost is $75 per person and includes use of kayak, paddles,life vest and transportation. Deadline to sign up is May 30. A minimum of 10 people required for trip. Call 926-4001.
